Tamron Hall made a stylish appearance on “Good Morning America” in New York City on Tuesday to celebrate the news that her eponymous daytime talk show is returning for a seventh season.
The longtime talk show host showed off a unique black dress featuring tweed panels, sheer detailing, and silver zipper piping. The eye-catching sleeveless design from Alexander McQueen’s fall 2011 collection also boasts a high, frayed neckline adorned with ornate round silver appliques. The knee-length look was originally styled with a belt cinched at the waist when it debuted on the runway over a decade ago.
On foot, the two-time Emmy winner wore black leather boots courtesy of Alaïa, opting for a knee-high style that skimmed the frayed hem of her skirt. The boots combined slightly slouchy shafts with almond-shaped pointed toes and slender block heels measuring around 4 inches. Subtle medial side zippers rounded out the luxury design.
Keeping warm as she left the “Good Morning America” studios in Manhattan, Hall wrapped up in a black wool double-breasted coat courtesy of Fendi. The mid-length coat boasted furry beige oversized pockets emblazoned with the brand’s signature double F motif in black lettering.
Alaia is a French luxury fashion house that was founded by Tunisian-born designer Azzedine Alaia in the ’70s. Prior to opening his own atelier, he spent time working for renowned brands like Christian Dior, Saint Laurent, and Thierry Mugler. The Parisian brand really took off following the launch of his first ready-to-wear collection in 1980.
Alaia’s current creative director is Belgian designer Pieter Mulier, a close friend of Raf Simons, who previously worked as design director at Dior. He also served as global creative director of Calvin Klein and accessories director at Jil Sander. Mulier’s first Alaia collection was for spring 2022. Celebrities like Tracee Ellis Ross, Naomi Campbell, and Laura Harrier are regular fixtures at Alaia’s fashion shows.
Hall stopping by “Good Morning America” Wednesday coincides with the announcement that her daytime show “Tamron Hall” has been renewed for a seventh season. “Season seven makes us the second longest-running syndicated talk show in Disney’s history,” she enthusiastically told GMA host George Stephanopoulos. The broadcast journalist is also known for making history as the first Black woman to co-host an hour of NBC’s “Today.” Leaving NBC in 2017, she premiered her own daytime talk show in 2019.
