Susan Lucci stopped by ABC’s “Good Morning America” Monday to promote her forthcoming off-Broadway play, “My First Ex-Husband.”
The soap opera legend donned a sleek black suit embellished with colorful paillettes and eye-catching shoes to match. Reaching for Christian Louboutin pumps, the “All My Children” star wore black patent Pigalles boasting an artistic, multicolored abstract print throughout. Next to the Kate, the French Maison’s Pigalle is one of the most popular silhouettes. The pointed stilettos featuring a rounded, low-cut vamp and a steep arch get their name from the famous Parisian neighborhood.
This version of the Pigalle is illustrated with vibrant scrawled hearts, blue eyes, random squiggles, and red lettering. They are finished off, of course, with the brand’s signature lacquered red soles.
A staple for celebrities on and off the red carpet, others who have worn Christian Louboutin’s Pigalle recently include Sabrina Carpenter, Zendaya, Kerry Washington, Storm Reid, Kate Hudson, Kerry Washington, and Tamron Hall. The pumps debuted as a part of the designer’s fall 2004 collection, making them over 20 years old. The original height of the arch-flattering shoe was a towering 4.7 inches.
Adding to the glamour of her look, Lucci accessorized with sparkly interwoven hoop earrings and glitzy rings on both hands. The veteran actress also sported tortoiseshell-print sunglasses outside after filming the appearance. A navy blue puffer coat boasting horizontal ribbing kept her warm on the streets of New York City.
During the show, she showed anchor Michael Strahan how to master the explosive TV fights seen on soap operas. When Strahan asked how to “take a good soap opera fight to the next level,” Lucci displayed how you might use a prop to do so. The actress ended up dramatically hurling a glass of water in his face not once, but three times. After she missed the first time, Strahan told producers, “Bring more water. C’mon. Let’s do this thing right. Get the aim right.”
“My First Ex-Husband” kicks off on Feb. 26 and will run through March 23 before a new cast steps in. The production’s website describes the show as “a bold and heartfelt adaptation of true stories by the legendary Joy Behar, comedienne and co-host of The View. With razor-sharp wit and no filters, it explores the messy, hilarious truths of love, sex, and relationships.”
