Each year, the Critics Choice Awards brings out the top names in the industry to honor them for their acting accomplishments.
As such, the celebs who attend wear their Sunday best, which means there’s tons of great shoes to make note of. Some of the standouts this year included Demi Moore, Ariana Grande, Rachel Brosnahan, Lupita N’yongo and more, with brands such as Dior, Prada and Yves Saint Laurent being showcased on the black carpet.
Below is a glimpse at some of the top shoe looks of the evening.
Demi Moore
Demi Moore opted for a pair of navy satin pumps from Schiaparelli that was first shown in their haute couture collection. The shoes included a sharp pointed-toe, a low-cut vamp and a crystal-embellished sphere on the top of the vamp.
Lupita N’yongo
Lupita N’yongo showcased an elegant look in satin strappy sandals. The shoes featured a criss-cross strapped design in the upper, an ankle strap that locked her foot in place and a stiletto heel measuring between 3-to-4 inches.
Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande stunned in the Jimmy Choo Romy Pumps, which are regarded for their sculpted design the upper, and sharply-pointed toes. While the back of the shoes couldn’t be seen completely, it’s likely they were completed by a 4-inch sculpted stiletto as the finisher based on Grande’s previous preferences.
Rachel Brosnahan
Rachel Brosnahan presented during the ceremony in a pair of the Miu Miu Bow 135 Platform Heels, which are characterized by their platform base and slightly chunky heel.
Zoe Saldaña
Zoe Saldaña picked up the award for Best Supporting Actress for “Emilia Perez” wearing the Saint Laurent La Scandal heels, which include a thick snub nosed platform, a peep toe at the front and a thin stiletto heel measuring a little over 5 inches.
Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman donned an oversized Saint Laurent suit alongside a pair of Saint Laurent slingback heels made from high gloss black leather. The shoes are completed by a 4 inch stiletto heel.
The Critics Choice Awards are an annual event presented by the American-Canadian Critics Choice Association to honor the finest in cinematic achievement. The Critics Choice Awards celebrates projects across film and television, and this year projects like “Conclave,” “Wicked” and “Dune: Part Two” lead the film nominations while “Shogun” leads the television nominations. Presenters will include Aldis Hodge, Kate Hudson, Kathryn Hahn, Lupita Nyong’o and Sarah Michelle Gellar among others and this year’s attendees include Zoe Saldaña, Sarah Michelle Gellar and more.
The 30th annual Critics Choice Awards were originally scheduled to take place Jan. 12, but was postponed after the L.A. wildfires hit the towns of Pacific Palisades and Altadena. While E!‘s traditional red carpet pre-show was canceled, the stars still walked down the carpet in their best outfits and footwear. Chelsea Handler is hosting the ceremony, which is taking place on Feb. 7 at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. The ceremony will be broadcast live on E! starting at 7 p.m. ET, and will be available to stream on Peacock on Saturday.
